Support the NSS through Annie B’s!

AnnieB

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the musicians and board of the North State Symphony, we are writing to request your support through the Annie B’s Community Drive.

The North State Symphony is about to begin a unique season. As many of you know, each of our major concerts this year will be led by a different, talented conductor. Each of them is hoping to become our new music director! Our first concerts are Sept. 20 and 21.

Most of the generous folks who will receive this letter have given to North State Symphony in past years. Will you consider increasing the level of your giving, so that we can begin this season on a confident note? Will you mention us to your friends? Nothing is as effective as for you to spread the word!

Annie B’s Community Drive is put on by the North Valley Community Foundation. Every year, Annie B’s donations received in August and September help local nonprofits, including the North State Symphony. The money raised is increased when the community foundation adds a "sweetener," extra funds that match a percentage of the gifts received. The sweetener itself can be as much as several thousand dollars, depending on the amount we raise.

You can donate online or by sending a check to
NSS/Annie B's
3120 Cohasset Road, Suite 8
Chico, CA 95973

Please help the North State Symphony as we enter this exciting year of transition by donating via the Annie B’s fund. Then come enjoy our concerts!

With thanks and best wishes from us all!

Conductor Search Update… Coming Very Soon…

Introducing Our Outstanding Finalists

In 2013, after forming a search committee with representatives from the Chico and Redding Boards, Guild and League, CSU Chico and NSS Musicians, the process of evaluating over 40 applications ensued. Through the winter and late spring of 2014 and with broad committee consensus, the list was reduced to the four dynamic, accomplished finalists presented here. We look forward to experiencing their artistry as guest conductors and further evaluating them over the course of the 2014–2015 North State Symphony Season. The name of the new Music Director/Conductor will be announced in late spring or early summer 2015.
