In our season finale, join us for Bartók’s joyous and thrilling Concerto for Orchestra, a showcase for every section in the orchestra and an exultant affirmation of life by a dying composer whose spirit, even at the end, remained undimmed.  Described as “daring, versatile, and charismatic,” violinist Robyn Bollinger is the newly appointed concertmaster of the Detroit Symphony and will take us on a tour of Mendelssohn’s timeless Violin Concerto, a work of exquisite elegance and fiery virtuosity.
