COVID-19 UPDATE 3/26/2020 @1:30PM

As a preventative measure to keep our north state community safe, and in adherence to federal, state, and local health guidelines, the North State Symphony has cancelled all concerts and events through the end of our 2019-20 season. Details on ticket donations and refunds are below. 

Chico concert tickets
Donate your tickets to NSS - available through Sunday, March 29. Click here to donate your tickets: 
Request a gift certificate to a future performance. Click here ubocustomersupport@csuchico.edu to contact the University Box Office for details.
Tickets will be automatically refunded to all patrons after Sunday, March 29.

Redding concert tickets
All patrons will receive an automatic ticket refund from the Cascade Theatre.

COVID-19 UPDATE 3/13/2020 @5:00PM The safety and well-being of everyone who attends concerts and events is always a top priority for the performing arts industry. In partnership with the public engagement team at CSU, Chico, the North State Symphony has been proactively monitoring the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19, and are taking steps to help keep our north state community safe. As a preventative measure and following the guidelines from Butte, Tehama, and Shasta County Public Health, California Department of Public Health, and California State University, the North State Symphony will be cancelling the following concerts:

  • Saturday, April 4 - NSS POPS: Our Expanding Universe (State Theatre, Red Bluff)
  • Saturday, April 4 - NSS POPS: Our Expanding Universe (Cascade Theatre, Redding)
  • Sunday, April 5 - NSS POPS: Our Expanding Universe (Laxson Auditorium, Chico)

As cancellations of performances and events become widespread in the wake of COVID-19, financial impact on arts and cultural organizations is becoming a difficult reality. If you’d like to support the mission of the arts during this unprecedented time, please consider exchanging your tickets for a performance later in our season, or donating your tickets (or their value) to the North State Symphony. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our office. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the North State Symphony and our community. We wish everyone good health and safety. Redding and Red Bluff concert ticket-holders: Details about ticket refunds and exchanges for the Cascade Theatre (Redding) and the State Theatre (Red Bluff) performances will follow. Chico concert ticket-holders: We are encouraging patrons to please consider donating your tickets as a tax-deductible gift to the North State Symphony during this difficult time. DONATE YOUR TICKET HERE Patrons who purchased tickets by phone or in person at the box office will have a credit issued to their account after March 22. If you’d prefer a refund we can help you right now over the phone (call the University Box Office 530-898-6333). Online ticket purchasers have the option to exchange their tickets, make a donation, or request a refund. All ticket-holders that purchased tickets online and did not exchange or donate their ticket value online will be refunded automatically after March 22.

The safety and well-being of everyone who attends concerts and events is always a top priority at California State University, Chico. The Chico Performances team has been proactively monitoring the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19, and are taking steps to help keep the Chico community safe. 

As a preventative measure and following the guidelines from Butte County Public Health and California Department of Public Health, California State University, Chico announced today that campus cultural events that attract more than 100 people have been cancelled through April 12.

Cancelled North State Symphony events include: April 5 - NSS POPS: Our Expanding Universe (Laxson Auditorium)

More information regarding the NSS POPS concerts scheduled for April 4 in Redding and Red Bluff will follow at a later date.

COVID-19 UPDATE 3/12/2020: We regret to inform our fans that the Sunday April 5 performance of NSS POPS: Our Expanding Universe at Laxson Auditorium has been canceled. Please stand by for further details about ticket refunds and donations. At this moment, the Red Bluff and Redding performances on Saturday April 4 are tentatively moving forward as scheduled. We will notify you immediately if there are additional schedule changes. Please check our social media pages regularly for the latest updates.
